CSA-G40.21 Gr.50W

CSA G40.21 grade 50W round bars are rolled or welded structural steel products. They are used in the construction of buildings, bridges, towers, cranes and other structures. Round bars are available in a variety of sizes and lengths to meet the needs your construction projects.

In the CSA (Canadian Standards Association / Association canadienne de normalisation) standard, measurements are expressed in SI (metric) units, with Anglo-Saxon (Imperial) values shown in brackets.

In metric (SI) units, this grade of steel is known as 350W.

In imperial units, we know it as 50W.

This is the same steel in two different units of measurement for the same CSA standard.

ASTM F1554 Grade 55

ASTM F1554 Grade 55 round bars are frequently used in the design of steel anchor rods for structural supports and concrete foundations.

ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) F1554 encompasses three grades for anchor rods:

  • 36 (248 MPa / 36 Ksi)
  • 55 (380 MPa / 55 Ksi)
  • 105 (724 MPa / 105 Ksi)

ASTM F1554 anchor rods can take the form of headed bolts, straight rods or angled anchor bolts.

ASTM F1554 Grade 105

ASTM F1554 Grade 55 round bars are frequently used in the design of steel anchor rods for structural supports and concrete foundations.

ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) F1554 encompasses three grades for anchor rods:

  • 36 (248 MPa / 36 Ksi)
  • 55 (380 MPa / 55 Ksi)
  • 105 (724 MPa / 105 Ksi)
