CSA-G40.21 Gr.50W

CSA G40.21 grade 50W flat bars are rolled or welded structural steel products. They are used in the construction of buildings, bridges, towers, cranes and other structures. Round bars are available in a variety of sizes and lengths to meet the needs of construction projects.

These bars are generally used to make square tie plates as a component of anchor rods cast in concrete.

In the CSA (Canadian Standards Association / Association canadienne de normalisation) standard, measurements are given in SI (metric) units, with Anglo-Saxon (Imperial) values shown in brackets.

In metric (SI) units, this grade of steel is known as 350W.

In imperial units, we know it as 50W.

This is the same steel in two different units of measurement for the same CSA standard.
