What you will be responsible for:

  • Cut steel rods or round bars with a semi-automatic saw;
  • Making threads using a semi-automatic threading machine;
  • Bending anchors with specialized tools;
  • Work cleanly and safely;
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

What you’re looking for as an ideal teammate:

  • High School Diploma;
  • 1-3 years of similar factory experience;
  • Excellent physical condition (ability to work standing up and lift loads of up to 50 lbs);
  • Strong manual skills and good ability to learn and execute;
  • Ability to read (basic) blueprints;
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and autonomy;
  • Constant compliance with occupational health and safety instructions.

Schedule:

  • 6:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. (Monday to Thursday)
  • 6:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Friday

Estimator, production start-up

Under the responsibility of the VICE-PRESIDENT, the PRODUCTION ESTIMATOR will be responsible for studying and analyzing the specifications of the plans and specifications to prepare a quote. He/She will mainly collaborate with the sales department and the production department.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Study and analyze the specifications of plans and specifications in the preparation of anchor bids;
  • Evaluate the costs of materials, labor and equipment from plans and specifications;
  • Develop production scenarios and ensure the availability of materials;
  • Ensure communications with the sales department (Quebec and Ontario);
  • Process the information related to the production order in the ERP system;
  • Manage production order and emergencies with the production department;
  • Carry out a search for subcontractors, provide them with plans and specifications;
  • Verify and analyze offers from subcontractors and suppliers;
  • Be on the lookout for new competitive trends;
  • Perfect mastery of the reading and interpretation of structural plans;
  • Establish and maintain submitting, monitoring and reporting systems and procedures;
  • All other related tasks.

Formation:

  • DEP in Industrial/Building Design;
  • College Diploma in Building Estimating and Valuation Technology;
  • Or equivalent in relevant experience.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;

Technical Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in the MS-Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), including an advanced level in Excel;
  • Ease of use of integrated software packages;

Skills:

  • Ability to work in a team and communicate fluently, both orally and in writing;
  • Good organizational skills and results-oriented;
  • Bilingualism essential (French / English).
